I am delighted to announce the availability of the phpBBGarage 2.0.B4, the 'thought I would release it 6 months ago' version. This is the second release available since the release of phpBB 3.0 and is intended for use with 3.0.4. Please read this announcement carefully and fully as it contains important information.
This release is intended for testing purposes only and not for use on a live site. During the beta phase a minimal level of support will be given. I will provide answers to general setup questions, configuration problems and support for determining common problems mostly related to bugs. I will not support modifications, custom code/style additions or any users using the beta packages within a live environment.
4 Packages are provided. Please chose the correct one for you
1) phpBB Garage 2.0.B4 Standard - Will perform DB work and manual file edits
2) phpBB Garage 2.0.B4 Full - Will perform file and DB work.
3) phpBB Garage 2.0.B3 to-2.0.B4 Updater - Will update 2.0.B3 to 2.0.B4
4) phpBB Garage 2.0.B4 and phpBB 3.0.4 Premodded - Will install fresh phpBB 3.0.4 & phpBB Garage 2.0.B4
The standard & full packages contains a converter for phpBBGarage 1.0.5 & 1.2.0-Beta4, this is intended to help find problems in the converter. It is not intended for people to convert a live phpBBGarage board. While I understand people are anxious to run this live please do not give into temptation. You will lose support and possible end up with a broken install. Test the converter so we get rid of all bugs for when you covert with the gold version.
The plan is for you to be able to upgrade from this point on, but plans change. Please be prepared that on next release you may have to start from scratch although I would hope this will not be the case.
Please post all support requests to the correct forum. Any errors can be entered directly into the bugtracker.
Current plan is for one more BETA followed by a RC release/cycle.

Edit: Due to a small issue on my host I need to wait till tomorrow to upload the premod version as my php.ini needs editting
